ScriptPoint Therapy

SkriptPoint Therapy is applied on Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Attention-Deficit Disorders, Perception Disorders, Gifted and Talented

“A dyslexic person with good or average intelligence perceives his environment differently than others. His attention decreases when he is confronted with symbols such as letters or numbers because he senses those with his sophisticated partial performance differently than non-dyslexic individuals. Learning difficulties develop for reading, writing or arithmetic.”

Educational definition from Dr. Astrid Kopp-Duller, 1995

People with good or average intelligence, who have symptoms of dyslexia or dyscalculia, usually perceive particular impressions of their environment. Partial inefficiencies disrupt the necessary attention when learning of symbols such as letters or numbers.

AFS Method Therapy

The AFS Method is conceived as an open method. The concept of the AFS method implies that in one manner the areas of attention and perception symptom training are constants in the therapy and in another manner includes a complete openness to other useful applications. The AFS method is custom-comprised and developed for dyslexics or dyscalculic individuals. The method has been enhanced also over the years with tested approaches.

AFS stands for the three priorities of encouragement

  • A = Attention
  • F = Function (Perception)
  • S = Symptom

Diagnostics

Before beginning training, a general writing, reading and/or arithmetic test as well as the AFS computer test method is performed. With the use of writing samples collected over months from the afflicted persons, an exact fault analysis is performed.

Therapy

The dyslexia training takes place exclusively under the direction of a university educated dyslexia trainer in single hours. The parents and teachers are included in the assistance.

Gifted and Talented

Gifted and talented children are marked by their very early developed, above average talents and interests. They are often substantially further than their classmates in specific disciplines. These can be logic/arithmetic, language, music, art, sports or in social areas and sometimes more than one of these disciplines are involved.

It is often anticipated from gifted and talented children that they show an outstanding performance in school. That is true for many, but not the case with all gifted and talented children.  Unfortunately, noticeable problems in the family, day care or school are the cause for parents, day care workers and teachers to address the subject of gifted and talented children.

To support the total personality of every child, the strengths through intellectual aid should be developed as well as the needs of weak ares of development (i.e. work attitude, motivation or social intelligence).

We offer

  • Comprehensive individual talent diagnostic (IQ test)
  • Individual advice and assistance
  • Detailed Information relating to aid possibilities according to the talent profile
  • Aid to children in day care (kindergarten)
  • Aid to children in school
  • Help for school, social and motivation difficulties
  • Recommendations for the daily organization of families with gifted and talented children
