Castillo Morales Therapy
Dr Klaus Berndsen and Sabine Berndsen found significant inspiration for their work in the 1980s in the USA and Argentina. In 1988, they worked for several months in Cordoba/Argentina at Dr Castillo Morales’ clinic. Under his guidance, they learnt the theory and intensive practical application of his method. In the following years, Dr Klaus Berndsen and Sabine Berndsen took part in further training courses offered by Dr Castillo Morales in Germany and elsewhere. Doctors and therapists can learn this method at the ISST training institute.

It is therefore our task to enter the sphere of the communication partner by maintaining communication, decoding their codes and entering their level if they do not have spoken language. We must constantly harmonise the needs and wishes of the patient, their relatives, their environment and their culture in order to be able to accompany them on the way to a different quality of life, more self-determination and independence.

Content of Castillo Morales therapy
The therapy concept of the Argentinian rehabilitation physician Dr Castillo Morales takes into account the normal sensorimotor development of the child. It was developed from his many years of experience in treating children with muscular hypotonia. His concept involves stimulating perceptions from the outside and from the child’s own body (e.g. muscles, tendons, joints) using special stimulation techniques. At the same time, intensive work is carried out on the foot support function in order to get the children upright as early as possible. Conditions for emotional, communicative and social development are taken into account, as are the criteria for autonomous human development.
